Hi all, just came into my iving room tonight (01:00) and seen that my router was showing that the ethernet cable to the Sky+HD box was showing activity (It is known by the light which links the Sky+HD box and the router flashes, Netgear Router).
Had multi room withSky Q before with BT hub6 and Bt home Wifi and was a bit hit and miss keeping an internet connection for on demand viewing. Sent mini box back and watched Freesat instead. Now I have Bt smart hub2 and complete Wi-fi and have my mini box back and set up. Jun 21, 2011 · Apparently the usb port was supposed to be so customers could connect external devices to the box, like a hard drive etc. This was never enabled and thus not used at the moment. The ethernet port is used by Sky anytime system to stream media to the box, similar to the BT Vision system.

i have just tried earlier to hook my xbox up to the back of my cable box but it said unable to connect to xbox live. the only reason why i did this is because i figured that since my computer has a low jack cable going into it and a ethernet cable going to my wirles router i thought the cable box would act the same.
